Comunidad-intercongregacional-internacional-providencia

Dear members of the Providence Family in the world, Haiti comes to you through this greetings, wishing that you be full of enthusiasm for continuing the way where Providence leads us. We have been very close, by our prayers, to the sisters of the two Provinces of the Congregation of Gap, who were in sorrow due to the untimely death of Sr Denise, Provincial Councillor of Benin and Sr. Loretta, Provincial of Sao Paulo. We are also very much united to the Province of Equator in preparation to the Provincial Chapter and to the Congregation of Gap for the Council of the Congregation. We have profited well of the school holidays, for giving an intensive formation to the different groups.

img The members of the Health Team and other invited persons have benefited well from a seminar and training session of 3 days on various ways of treatment for all kinds of sicknesses, pains and wounds with natural things: poultice, different medicines, ointments, tinctures etc. with natural products. It was conducted by a consecrated lay woman, Brazilian, who is working at Porto-au-Prince. She has done it with lot of creativity and care well adapted to the level of groups.

imgWhile we had stopped the work of our Bakery we organised meetings every week with the members of the group to reinforce the criteria of the activity in common and a spiritual formation. We have also completed the material which were lacking. From the beginning of September, we have again very good bread made in Bakery-Plassac!

img The parents of the students who are sponsored financially had meetings many times to make them understand the importance of bringing up well their children and to remind them the criteria of this help which they get. Sr Eugenie has made the report of each sponsor child, of the total number 115, who benefit from this program of sponsorship.

imgThe coordinators of each group who prepare the Sunday liturgical celebration had a course sur la Liturgy and Bible during 2 days. We could see their great interest for their own personal formation.

img The Parish Team of “SOLDATS DU CHRIST” has organised a general assembly of 3 days. Plassac participated on the 3rd day with study and reflections on Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church and the animation of the Eucharistic celebration.

imgThe catechists also had a good preparation by study, reflection and prayer for transmitting to the students of the Catholic School of Plassac, the Word of God, with deeper Faith and efficiency.

We have started the catechism again with the reopening of the school.

In our community programs we have organised the annual retreat for Sr. Eugenie and Sr Mary Augustine. They came back with new strength and zeal for continuing to give themselves to this mission wholeheartedly. We thank you for all your fraternal concern for us. Let us remain always very much united in prayer. Your sisters of the Mission of Plassac.
